• Description: Xingya Ni, Ph.D. in Port, Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Hohai University, Postdoctoral Fellow of Zhejiang Institute of Water Resources and Estuarine Research (ZIWEER), is now an Associate Professor in the School of Port, Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Hohai University. He is now an associate professor in the School of Port, Coast and Offshore Engineering of Hohai University. He is mainly engaged in the research of numerical simulation and physical modeling related to hydrodynamics of estuaries and coasts, and his research interests include: theoretical improvement of meshless numerical methods, development of modeling and engineering applications, the movement and migration law of nearshore disaster-causing drifters and the characteristics of thermal hydrazine entrainment and suction, and the coastal disaster-causing dynamics and the multifactors collaborative mitigation and protection system. He has presided over one youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), participated in two upper-level projects of the NSFC, and presided over and participated in more than ten horizontal research projects, with a total project fund of more than 5 million RMB. In recent years, he has published 14 papers in Ocean Engineering, International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, Journal of Atmospheric and Oceanic Technology and other domestic and international academic journals. He has published two monographs and received patents. He has published two monographs and obtained four patents. He won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of “Disaster Defense Science and Technology Award”, and the second prize of Zhejiang Provincial Water Conservancy Science and Technology Innovation Award.
