- Description: Associate Professor Zhao Hongjun is mainly engaged in teaching and scientific research on the theory of water wave dynamics and its applications. His research interests include: the basic theory of nearshore water wave dynamics, numerical simulation methods of nearshore wave propagation and deformation, the formation mechanism and process simulation of catastrophic waves, and the interaction between waves and structures, etc. He has presided over/participated in the national and provincial research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications' Western Transportation Construction Science and Technology Project, the Transportation Construction Science and Technology Project, and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Transportation Research Special Project. He has presided over/participated in the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, the Western Transportation Construction Science and Technology Project of the Ministry of Transportation, the Transportation Construction Science and Technology Project of the Ministry of Transportation, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Transportation Scientific Research Special Project, etc. He has also taken part in more than 50 domestic and international ports and coasts engineering wave research. Associate Professor Zhao Hongjun has rich practical experience and scientific research results, published more than 30 academic papers, published a textbook, won the first prize of science and technology of China Water Transportation Construction Industry Association.
